Our Chilean casona, a typical country mansion, is 2,200 m² and was built in 1843. It has a colonial style characteristic of its time. Built in adobe and with open-air corridors and interior patios, Casa Bouchon has been reconditioned to offer all the comforts that a boutique hotel requires, without removing its identity and essence. Within the decoration, many of the articles of furniture were brought by boat from France by the Bouchon family at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Wine Cellar
Our hotel revolves around wine. The Bouchon family, originally from Bordeaux, settled in Chile in 1887 and since then has been producing terroir-driven wines in Chile’s Valle Central. Next to the house is the old wine cellar, a building made of adobe walls and clay floors built at the beginning of the 20th century, which is a must-see for our guests, as is tasting the wines made there.
